WHAT IS YOUR PAIN?

If you are looking to fix your life, I am sorry my friend.

Not sorry because you cannot.

Dang, that would make this whole journey utterly useless right?

I am sorry for the fact that you are in pain.

It sucks, but pain is a very important part of the path.

Pain from not being enough, not having enough, not loving enough, not being loved enough.

Regardless the root, pain is pain.

Mental, physical, or emotional….it hurts.

Let’s acknowledge that pain super sucks.

On that we can agree.

Let us also agree to move forward for staying here is not the answer.

The good news is, that your track record from “not dying” from this pain is 100% perfect up to now.

See? You are amazing.

Let’s keep going.

One of the keys to moving beyond this pain is to embrace it.

Face it. Hug it. Hold it tight.

It is your pain, it is a part of YOU.

Own it.

Stop trying to ignore it, drug it, hide it, or pretend it isn’t there.

Be completely honest with yourself.

What hurts? Why does it hurt? Who is responsible for this hurt?

Drink it in and let it marinate.

It is NOT going away.

It is permanent.

Life is pain.

Wait though, don’t give up.

Stay with me here.

I’m not done yet.

Life IS pain.

Yes.

But life is also pleasure.

That is also permanent.

They co-exist like light and dark, vanilla and chocolate, jedi and sith.

You get the point.

So, the question is, how can we maximize our life with all this freakin’ pain?

The answer is strength.

The stronger you make yourself, the less the pain affects you.

The stronger your become, the MORE the pleasure resonates within you.

Therefore, we need to focus on maximizing strength and positive attributes.

We need to make you so internally powerful that external challenges become naught but welcome tests of your awe-inspiring ability to succeed.

What was my pain?

RAGE.

So much anger.

All encompassing vehement anger.

How can I explain?

Do you like movies?

I love movies.

I love revenge movies most of all.

You know the ones I mean. The film's where something unbelievably tragic happens and the protagonist throws everything to the wall and wages all out, no holds barred war on the antagonists. I love that. So much. Too much. Probably because I feel similarly. So full of rage and anger at what the world has taken from me that I longed for the chance to lash out and destroy things with unflinching abandon. My Father, My Brother, My Son and My Sisters. My Mother. All gone. Taken. Yet, I have no one to blame. No target to punish. No one to torture as I have been tortured. Oh the terrible vengeance I could rain down. The majestic ugly violence. The release.

I get it now. And the understanding of this pain has recently allowed me to release it.

I cannot tell you how freeing it is.

NOW, LET’S DO YOU.

What is your pain?

Who can you not forgive?

What can you not let go of?

What haunts you?

What is stopping you from being happy?

EMBRACE IT, SIT WITH IT, USE IT....MOVE FORWARD.

You got this. If you need help, we are here.

Live strong.

Love stronger.
